Salted Roe with a Side of Glitter

12 Apr

Some may call it salted roe. Others like the upscale approach and call it caviar. You can garnish a special dish with this delicacy or serve it on a well chilled plate on top of lightly toasted bread or gourmet crackers. When you break it all down, you’re left with fish eggs….and I’ll have mine with a side of glitter, on my nails, please.

This is a super easy and fun manicure to create! I found these little “fish eggs”, also know as beads or bullion at the local Dollar Tree for $1 in Torrance, CA yesterday. I also purchased a larger $10 pack of assorted colors in Chinatown (Los Angeles) from Starlight (See previous Shop Til You drop Post). Grab a ziplock bag, a stroke or two of topcoat and dip your finger. Or, “Spoon” them on if you’re feeling more upscale! Lightly pat to place the beads neatly. Add another layer of topcoat to keep them secure. Do one or two fingers or all of them.

Manigredients: royal blue fish eggs, OpiSimmer and Shimmer and Color ClubSky High

Fish eggs anyone? Take a look at how my fellow nail and beauty bloggers served theirs!

I first tried pouring, then decided to go upscale and try “spooning” instead. I did find the latter easier πŸ™‚
